Megan Hunke-Lomax, M.D.

Dr. Hunke-Lomax graduated from Holdrege High School in 2014, received her bachelor’s from University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2018, and received her M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in 2022. She completed her family medicine residency from UNMC, in the Grand Island rural training track.

She chose family medicine because it offers the unique opportunity to manage a wide range of conditions, while focusing on preventive care. The ability to build long-term relationships with patients and provide care from birth through the end of life are her inspirations. Her passion is for pediatrics, women’s health, obstetrics, and preventive care.

Dr. Hunke-Lomax’s husband, Christian, is a farmer. They have a daughter, Violet, 2 cats and 3 dogs.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outside gardening and landscaping, completing jig saw puzzles, fixing up their old farmhouse, and playing sand volleyball.
